A Winter Walk

It snowed here overnight and there was ice about this morning so I didn't want to risk going cycling. Salt and grit had put down on the main roads, but I prefer quieter lanes which don't tend to get the same attention from the local council. The sun was shining so I didn't want to stay in all day. I suffer from S.A.D. (Seasonal Affective Disorder) so I need to make the most of what little sunshine we get here in the winter.

I ended up walking about a mile and a half to Mytholmroyd, and returned via a big hill which has some nice views of the Calder Valley in which both Mytholmroyd and my current home town of Hebden Bridge are situated. I took some photographs with my new Fujifilm digital camera. It was the camera's first real test and I was very pleased with it. I was able to carry the camera in the palm of my hand and hardly notice that it was there and it was  easy to operate with gloved hands. I'll definitely be taking it out with me on walks and bike rides in future.
