Weight Loss Progress – Week 4

I started this year weighing 220.0 pounds (15 stone 10.0 pounds, 99.8 kg). Last week, I weighed 216.7 pounds (15 stone 6.7 pounds, 98.3 kg). This week, I weigh 215.0 pounds (15 stone 5.0 pounds, 97.5 kg). That's a loss last week of 1.7 pounds, or 0.8 kg. Total weight loss so far is 5.0 pounds or 2.3 kg.

My original waist measurement was 45″, last week it was 43.5″, this week it is 42.5″. That was a loss from my waist last week of 1.0″ and a total loss so far of 2.5″.

I did two 45 minute sessions on my exercise bike, a 90 minute walk on the hills, and a hilly 23.5 mile road bike ride.

I bought one treat meal this week – a vegetable foo yung (omelette with beansprouts, peas, tomatoes, peppers etc. in it) with chips. I used to eat a whole portion at one sitting, but I ate it at a friend's house and shared 1/3 of it. What was left was actually plenty so I can see that I used to overeat when I ate a full one. Other treats were a single biscuit and half a toasted currant teacake at a cafe after this week's walk. I behaved myself with alcohol this week – I drank 5/6 of my weekly beer allowance.

Verdict – it was a much better week than the previous one. I'm finding the food and drink limits tolerable – much better than my very strict approach on previous weight loss regimes.

More good news – The OJ-ometer has ticked again!
