Weight Loss Progress – Week 13

I started this year weighing 220.0 pounds (15 stone 10.0 pounds, 99.8 kg). Last week, I weighed 209.4 pounds (14 stone 13.4 pounds, 95.0 kg). This week, I weigh 208.1 pounds (14 stone 12.1 pounds, 94.4 kg). That’s a loss of 1.3 pounds, or 0.6 kg. Total weight loss so far is 11.9 pounds or 4.8 kg (14.6 pounds, 1 stone 0.6 pounds, or 6.6 kg since Christmas).

My original waist measurement was 45″, last week it was 39.5″, this week it is still about 39.5″. That is a total loss so far of 5.5″ (all rounded to nearest half inch).

I did a very hilly 29 mile bike ride and an even hillier 49 mile one. I also went for a hilly 8 mile walk.

I went over my alcohol quota again this week. It’s obvious if you go back through this blog that alcohol is my number one weakness. I exercise quite a lot and I eat well, so the beer is what holds me back. I’m not drinking as much as I was but I keep exceeding my self-imposed quota of 6 beers. I wonder whether I’d be better to set a slightly higher quota and then make a more determined effort to stick to that? Heck, that’s what I’ll do. If I keep breaking my lower limit, it obviously isn’t helping me much. Okay, my new limit is 10 beers a week but I really must try and stick to that! I always have the option of lowering it again later if I find that I can stick to 10 and it isn’t compulsory to actually use the quota! 😉

Food ‘treats’… a small piece of cake and a cheese salad sandwich (no mayo) at a cafe on my ride yesterday. Half a medium sized home-made pizza in the evening and a large bag of salted crisps.

Verdict on week – not bad, could still be better.

Bang goes another carton off my OJ-ometer!

  1. Ya doing well chuck, keep up the good work!!!!!

  2. Hmm, interesting – an anonymous comment!

I think I know who it might be, but no matter who it is, that’s the kind of thing that I like to see! (Unlike the one abusive comment I had last week – I moderate all comments folks, so don’t bother posting spam or abusive comments because they will never see the light of day!)

  3. And of course, me even mentioning abusive comments is enough to drag an abusive Tiscali user out of the woodwork to be even more abusive. Anyone for a game of ‘Spot the braincell’?
