Weight Loss Progress – Week 10

I started this year weighing 220.0 pounds (15 stone 10.0 pounds, 99.8 kg). Two weeks ago, I weighed 212.6 pounds (15 stone 2.6 pounds, 96.4 kg). This week, I weigh 211.7 pounds (15 stone 1.7 pounds, 96.0 kg). That's a loss of 0.9 pounds, or 0.4 kg. Total weight loss so far is 8.3 pounds or 3.8 kg.

My original waist measurement was 45″, last week it was 40.5″, this week it is 40.0″ . That was a loss from my waist last week of 0.5″ and a total loss so far of 5.0″ (all rounded to nearest half inch).

I did two easy one hour walks and a hilly one lasting about 2.5 hours. I did an extremely strenuous road bike ride – 52 miles with 6,500 feet of Yorkshire hills crammed in.

My week's worth of ‘treats' were – a takeaway curry, two buttered toasted currant teacakes and a shared bag of chips (fries). I went over my alcohol quota yet again this week. I didn't count the beers, but I was at least double my quota. I think it is important to be honest about it, otherwise there is no point in writing all this stuff. I'm still drinking too much, but I'm juggling stress and alcohol consumption since relaxing with a few beers is my major stress-relief, apart from vigorous exercise. As things in my personal life beyond the scope of this blog improve, my need to de-stress will diminish and so will my beer intake.

Verdict on week – things are looking up again. I can feel my waistline getting slimmer, people are noticing, and the readings on my scales are falling again.

I only need to lose 0.7 pounds next week to get another carton of OJ ticked off my OJ-ometer!
