Stroll For Snow Pics

Despite the lovely sunny conditions, I was going to stay in today and get on with my various online projects but a text message from Lisa summoned me to Heptonstall for lunch.

She had forgotten her camera and wanted to take some photographs before she came home. To be honest, I was grateful for an excuse to get away from the computer for a while. I’m not risking cycling in the current icy conditions, so I do need to get these little walks in.

We had lunch at the cafe and then did a little tour round the village before walking back down the road to the shops in Hebden Bridge.

I’m disappointed with the quality of the photographs. Conditions were fantastic up on the tops and the snaps didn’t really do justice to them. Still, here are a couple to give you a flavour of what it was like up there this afternoon…

I just love clear blue winter skies. Surprisingly, it didn’t feel too cold as long as you stood in the sunshine. It was a different matter once the sun started to set, however!
