Stroll #9

It was a lovely sunny evening and I was about to nip out to the shops when Lisa rang and asked if I fancied a stroll. Why walk a few hundred yards when we could walk a couple of miles instead… 🙂

And so we walked along the canal towpath to the old Walkley’s Clogs mill on the outskirts of Mytholmroyd.  The company still exist, but they have moved to smaller premises in the village. The mill is currently boarded up while its future is decided. There was talk of converting it to flats but the recession has certainly put that idea on hold.

We ambled back along the cycleway which runs through the former Walkley’s car park, then through Calder Holmes park and along the towpath to the Co-op.
