Oh, I'm not complaining about the loss, it's how long it has taken. What bugs me is that I made a really good start to the year and then got complacent so I spent months staying the same weight. Then I got ill and put weight back on and then had to lose it all over again! Never mind, I'll get there in the end.

I just want to be able to ride the hills round here at a decent speed without suffering as much as I do. It's like I'm permanently stuck in bottom gear. My long-term aim is to be able to go to the Alps and the Pyrenees and enjoy riding them. I've only done one biggish mountain climb (Puerto de Tudons - a 1,000 m climb near Bendiform on the Costa Blanca) and that always has my back in knots and my legs like jelly by the top.
