I do feel very ambivalent about advertising, but I need to get serious about earning a living from the hours that I spend online!

No, you aren't missing anything - yet! I'm just reading about AdSense filters before switching it on. I really don't want to ever host some of the ads I saw when previewing what would appear. It's terrible what some people will try and sell to potentially very vulnerable people. I will probably switch off 'weight loss' ads despite the fact that they are some of the best-paying ones. That would still allow ads for healthy eating and nutrition to appear.

The other change I need to make is to switch off some of the ad blocks in the new theme that I'm going to use. There are too many of them. Again, it might lose me some money but I want this to look like a blog with some ads added, rather than ads with some blogging added as an afterthought!

I can't actually see any advertising (not that I want to). Am I missing something?
