Phew – All Clear!

Just a quick personal note. My sister and I took our frail, elderly mother to the hospital today for some medical checks and she got the all-clear – phew! We had been worried about this so it was reassuring that the doctors didn’t find anything to be concerned about.

Cricked Neck

My neck has been stiff and sore off and on for about a year, but yesterday something happened to it (I’m not sure what)  and it got quite painful. I’ve been finding it difficult to turn my head to the left today. It’s definitely a muscular thing, like the muscles on the left are going [...]

I needed [...]

This is a little story that I posted a few days ago on the weight loss/fitness forum that I joined recently. It got a good reception over there, so I thought that I’d make it today’s post on my blog. I thought I’d tell you an inspirational story, just in case you ever think “Maybe [...]

Half Ton Son

I watched a very disturbing documentary on UK TV last night – Half Ton Son. The 19 year old in question actually weighed about 840 pounds (60 stone, 380 kg) which is somewhat below the half ton mark. Nonetheless – he was devastatingly obese. I don’t normally watch that type of programme because I find [...]
